Introducing Roles & Permissions

Our latest feature, Roles & Permissions, gives you the flexibility and control to manage your team's access within our platform effectively. This guide will walk you through the basics of setting up and using this feature.

Overview

Roles & Permissions allows you to:

  • Assign specific roles to team members, determining what they can view, access, and modify within the platform.

  • Customise permissions for each role, ensuring team members have the access they need to fulfil their duties without compromising security or privacy.

Getting Started

Currently, only the Office Admin has access to this feature. Access will be extended to other roles in future updates.

Accessing Roles & Permissions

  1. Go to the Settings menu

  2. Select the "Office Settings" option

Add User to Your Office

  1. Go to “Office Management” tab at the left

  2. If you manage multiple offices, please select the office where you wish to add a user under the “Office Management” tab

  3. Click on “Add User”

  4. Enter the information of the user you wish to add:

    • The user’s company email

    • Select a role for the user (The role selection is exclusive to CargoMART Pro. For offices on the Free plan, the role is limited to "Standard" only)

  5. Click “Confirm”

  6. An email invitation will be sent to the email address you entered

Changing Roles to Existing Team Members

  1. Go to “Office Management” tab at the left

  2. If you manage multiple offices, please select a office under the “Office Management” tab

  3. Navigate to the team member's profile from the list or using the search field



  4. Click on the pencil icon to edit

  5. Select the “Roles & Permission” tab on the left side of the modal



  6. Select the new role from the dropdown menu.

  7. Confirm the update

As an admin, you can modify the roles of all users except fellow admins. For changes to an admin's role, please reach out to us at support@cargoai.co

Removing Existing Team Members

  1. Go to “Office Management” tab at the left

  2. If you manage multiple offices, please select a office under the “Office Management” tab

  3. Navigate to the team member's profile from the list or using the search field



  4. Click on the bin icon to remove this user

  5. Click “Remove” to confirm the change


As an admin, you can remove all users except fellow admins. For removals to an admin's role, please reach out to us at support@cargoai.co

Best Practices

  • Review regularly: Keep your roles and permissions updated as your team evolves

  • Limit Admin roles: Only grant full permissions to those who absolutely need it
