Well yes... but please read on, as there are some details for some specific API product.
The traditional way the RATES & BOOK API works is that it will require you to include your IATA and CASS numbers in the request. These 2 values will be instrumental in returning the right rates from our connected airlines. In this traditional way, if you call our API without an IATA CASS number, airlines will not return any rate, simply because they will not be able to bill you after the AWB departure.
However, we now offer forwarders the possibility to register with CargoWALLET and pay for the shipment via CargoWALLET instead of via CASS. This service will only be available if you use the FlyWindow module of the integration. For the FHL/ FWB API, we do require an identifier in the form of either IATA CASS or a customer ID number.
All other APIs do not require any IATA CASS in the request body. Any airfreight player can start using these API and immediately gain benefits in terms of data coverage & quality and process efficiency.
